What ?! i cant find armor - Guild Wars Forums

hey, guy's i wanted to know if this is true

i havent found any armor ....for any class while out adventureing ((im level 7, been MOSTLY but not completely solo)) i figured armor was just much, much rarer then everything else, then im told, i can only craft armor....

please tell me this is a joke, some people were talking about it, and apperently all armor has to be crafted.

1. Is this true?
2. if it is is it just for low levels?
3. What about us folks who DO NOT like to craft! i Dont like trade Skills !! im a hero NOT a merchent !!

4. ((and slightly off topic)) Does guiildwars have, or plan on having any sort of Auction house-like system

umm all you do is get the right items and pay the gold for the crafter to make you the armor. its not like wow if thats what you were thinking.

still, thats lame, i dont want to Craft, im a hero, i want to find my armor, threw Epic battles, and quest, and plain dumb luck !

is there any other way to get new armor ?!

You don't really 'craft' the armor, you buy it at an NPC. And yes, this is the only way.

Battles and quests give you the parts for the armor. Luck is a factor in getting those parts. You can't use armor you find because it's too bashed up from killing the thing you're fighting. You don't find it in chests because...no one keeps armor in boxes. Besides, custom made armor is more comfy.

For your information, all the great heroes wore custom crafted armours

Think of crafters as of tailors. In a conversation, it's far more prestigious to say "Do you see my armour? It was crafted by the prestigious Crafter#3 in Old Ascalon!" than "Oh, this armour? I found it laying in a pile of Dragon dung."

crafting is the same as buying the armor

a few clicks and you have it

you dont spend hours learning to do it yourself

kill monsters which drop raw materials for salvege take what is needed to armor crafter click on what you want and poof the raw materials are gone and you have the armor you want

1. do different towns have different armors to be made, didnt seem like anything super impressive at the level 7ish town

2. what about an auction house? any plans or anyone already in place

1. YES! Different towns have different sets to offer!
2. No. So far there are no auction houses.
